*Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT)**Location: Indianapolis, IN**Duration: 6-month to 1-year CTH**Job Description*_This position exists to be responsible and accountable for the administration of comprehensive respiratory care services and for appropriate documentation in the medical record of the therapy provided. Continuously provides the best individualized care and service to patients, customers, colleagues, business partners, and the communities we serve.*Clinical Practice* *-* Provide quality patient care in all patient care settings by performing procedures currently accepted by Respiratory Care Leadership and National Standards to assure the best possible patient outcomes. Clinical care is consistent with established policies, procedures and standards of care. Actively participates in direct delivery of patient care. Observes and reports changes of patient condition to MD/RN or other related member of health care team. Provides continuity of care with accurate and thorough report. Ensures physician's orders for therapy is carried out and patient is evaluated for therapy. Utilizes department guidelines in assessing therapy for appropriateness of care and offers suggestions for changes when appropriate. Accepts, documents, and implements verbal orders. Provide input to help establish and maintain PI. Assure procedures are properly entered/charted/billed.*Collaboration *- Coordinates job activities with team members and leaders as required. Finds workable solutions that can be leveraged by other team members. Seeks out and shares best practices for performing job duties. Adapts to changes in job demands, work priorities, and organizational structure without adverse effects on job performance. Takes guidance and instruction from leaders and implements accordingly.*Relationship Building and Customer Care -* Establishes and maintains respectful working relations with internal and external customers by being courteous and helpful in all interactions. Exhibits sound judgment in handling unexpected problems and frequent interruptions that require immediate action or attention.*Qualifications/Skills*_*-Requires current License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner for the state of Indiana*__*-Requires graduation from CoARC (Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care)*__*-Requires that the N.B.R.C. (National Board for Respiratory Care) registry exam passed within 13 months of hire date*_-Requires Healthcare Provider Certification.
