Job Description:

Quest Safety Products is looking for an Accounting Manager to help with the following: Coordinate the financial affairs of the organization including the company's financial plans and policies, accounting practices, and the preparation of financial reports. The position involves management over general accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and credit management. Responsible for financial reporting, internal auditing, capitol expenditures, and budgetary controls. Build a motivated team while adhering to corporate goals, policies and procedures. Help shape a positive culture while developing the knowledge and skill level of employees. Create and sustain a safe, healthy, and ethical work environment.--ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:--

  • Manage the general accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and credit management.
  • Manages the function of collection and establishing terms of payment according to established procedures. Contact delinquent accounts and request payment to bring the account current. Will establish alternative payment plans or another process of payment for delinquent accounts.
  • Coordinates new customer and vendor setup. Manage the collection and review of credit data on new and existing customers.--
  • Manages preparation of invoices, checks, daily deposits, sales tax and financial reports including but not limited to income statements and balance sheets. Review all expense reports to check for accuracy.--Reconciles vendor statements and handles complaints or discrepancies in payment. Review unposted transactions and process them accordingly.
  • Provide regular reporting utilizing Power BI to sales, ecommerce, executive management and board of directors
  • Work closely with the Controller and Senior Accounting Associate in month end closing processes including but not limited to unposted transactions, payable verification, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Assist in the commercial, liability, product, and auto insurance renewal.
  • Assist in providing supporting documentation to outside auditors in conjunction with the year-end audit.
  • Assist in developing and tracking an annual budget and continual forecasting to help assist the fiscal direction to the organization.
  • Assist Controller on pricing and customer contracts to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee Accounting Associates over A/R and A/P functions as well as front desk receptionist. This will include work allocation training, problem resolution, evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance. Will train and develop new associates.
  • Provide annual business plan including, financial budget, opportunities to maximize financing activities, and cost savings programs.
  • Represents the organization at various business meetings and/or functions; promotes existing and new programs and/or policies.
  • Maintains effective working relationships and exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others.
  • Maintain a high level of product and vendor knowledge.
  • Conform with and abide by all established policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Must assume responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of work product.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when required.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
    • 3-5 years of experience directly related to standard accounting practices, financial analysis, and budgetary control
    • knowledge of commonly used accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
    • Knowledge of the Distribution Industry is preferred
    • CPA preferred
    • Must be skilled in Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook. Power BI experience is a plus
