These roles are unique and permanent positions within our FTEP team where you will receive Fortune 500 benefits and salary, but you get to work onsite at our clients for various project and consulting needs. These opportunities are located throughout the Indianapolis area. In this role, the Staff Accountant holds responsibility for preparing monthly and year-end closings, fixed asset maintenance, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, your responsibilities will also cover various aspects of internal reporting.Primary Duties:-Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll-Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP-Report on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner-Oversee the creation of monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for reporting to management-Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation-Manage capital lease and monthly payment schedules-Play a role in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation-Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed-Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments-Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision
