Job Description:

Pay Range- $55,000 - $75,000 yr.

Signing Bonus- $1,000

Description: This position will be responsible for administering all aspects of the payroll system, as well as providing administrative support to the Accounting and Human Resources Departments.

Duties:

• Payroll
  • Run/audit reports and timesheets to identify discrepancies. Send time discrepancy notices and enter PTO requests and corrections
  • Collect overtime requests and enter/calculate weekly overtime accruals
  • Update employee attendance calendars
  • Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests
  • Submit Biweekly payroll into Paychex
  • Update Prepaid schedule and record payroll entries
  • Review Payroll General Ledger Journal Entries-Generate Accruals
  • Review Payroll Taxes (create schedule if there is an outstanding balance)
  • Reconcile PTO Balance Sheet Account Schedule
  • Record Draws, Accruals reversals, PTO
  • Record Manual Checks
  • Employee Insurance o Create employee insurance deductions
    • Prepare Prepaid insurance schedule for month end
    • Record insurance expense (Health, Dental, Vision, Life)
    • Other duties as assigned
      Position Requirements:
      
      • High school degree or equivalent
      • 3 - 5 years experience with payroll processing required
      • Experience using Paychex a plus
      • Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax law in Multi states
      • Computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
      • Effective oral and written communication skills
      • Excellent attention to detail and good time-management skills
      • Able to maintain confidential information
