With general supervision, the Senior Analyst, Strategic Projects will support the execution of US Strategies, and digital and process improvement initiatives. This role will provide support to the finance organization for strategic initiatives, including regulatory and growth projects. They will be the finance functional lead for system implementations as part of the company's digital strategy. In addition, this role will be responsible for reviewing current processes and identifying improvement opportunities that may or may not leverage existing technologies. The Senior Analyst, Strategic Projects will work with operations and other support functions to drive efficiencies and system adoption. Main Responsibilities: * Support US strategies, including regulatory (rate cases, FERC audit), system readiness and execution of growth (Indiana Renewables, New business models) to meet business requirements. * Act as the finance functional lead for system implementations. * Leads finance projects and cross-functional team projects to drive process efficiencies and improvements. The Senior Analyst, Strategic Projects will handle project initiatives to ensure improvements are identified and implemented. Enables finance functions to lead growth at US businesses. * Develops and trains finance teams on system capabilities to ensure users are enhancing full systems capability. * Supports Finance Digital Strategy in the US by identifying and coordinating automation opportunities. * Lead or support ad hoc projects to meet business needs. Qualifications: * Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience with technical accounting issues. * Strong problem-solving skills. * Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. * Ability to deal with fast-paced, constantly evolving environments with high levels of complexity and ambiguity. * Ability to work in a collaborative manner with business leaders and to balance priorities and achieve critical deadlines; capable of independent and critical, forward-looking and preemptive thought analysis. * Big 4 and Global Company experience preferred. * Proven experience with financial closing for multi-national US GAAP business. * Experience with SAP and PowerPlan, preferred. * Experience in Utility, Power or Energy industry, preferred. Education Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, required.
