Full benefits Health Dental Vision PTO Annual bonus Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that requires a strong understanding of percent completion accounting. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in full disbursement and Vista Viewpoint software. You will work closely with our project managers and other team members to ensure financial transparency and accuracy throughout the life cycle of our construction projects. Responsibilities: As a Construction Project Accountant, your main responsibility will be to manage all financial aspects of our construction projects. This includes, but is not limited to: 1. Managing all aspects of project accounting, including job cost tracking, revenue recognition, and full disbursement. 2. Utilizing Vista Viewpoint software to input and track financial data. 3. Preparing and updating project budgets and forecasts. 4. Reviewing and approving subcontractor and vendor invoices. 5. Ensuring accurate and timely percent completion accounting. 6. Preparing financial reports for project managers and senior management. 7. Assisting with internal and external audits. 8. Collaborating with project managers and other team members to ensure financial accuracy and transparency. 9. Identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities. 10. Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: 1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 4 years of experience in construction project accounting. 3. Extensive experience with percent completion accounting. 4. Proficiency in using Vista Viewpoint software. 5. A strong understanding of full disbursement. 6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 8. The ability to work well in a team and independently. 9. A keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. 10. The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. 11. A professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA or CA) would be considered an asset.
