Job Description CNC Machinist – Aerospace & Medical Manufacturing\n Olson Custom Designs | Indianapolis, IN \n Job Type\n Full-Time | Multiple Shifts Available | CNC Machinist Jobs in Indianapolis, IN \n Pay Range\n $20.00 – $36.00 per hour (based on experience) Shift premiums available for 2nd & 3rd shift \n Job Overview\n Olson Custom Designs is hiring CNC Machinists to support the production of mission-critical, close-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, medical, and other high-reliability industries. This role is ideal for machinists who enjoy variety, precision work, and custom one-off or short-run jobs rather than repetitive production. \n Key Responsibilities\n \n Set up, operate, and run CNC machines to produce precision machined components \n Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and technical drawings \n Verify part accuracy using precision measuring tools \n Adjust offsets, tooling, and machine parameters to maintain tight tolerances \n Assist in designing and building custom fixtures for unique jobs \n Communicate with teammates to prioritize and schedule work \n Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas \n Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and quality \n Operate additional shop equipment such as grinders, polishers, and saws \n \n Required Qualifications\n \n 2 years of CNC machining experience (or vocational training) \n Ability to independently operate CNC machines \n Experience inspecting parts and holding tolerances \n Strong attention to detail and time management \n Positive attitude and strong work ethic \n \n Preferred (Not Required)\n \n CNC trade school certificate \n Experience creating or editing CNC programs \n SolidCAM experience a plus \n \n Physical Requirements\n \n Standing for extended periods \n Ability to lift up to 25 lbs \n \n Shifts Available\n \n 1st Shift: Mon–Fri | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM \n 2nd Shift: Mon–Thurs | 3:00 PM – 12:30 AM (Shift Premium) \n 3rd Shift: Mon–Fri | 12:00 AM – 7:30 AM (Shift Premium) \n \n Benefits\n \n Competitive pay \n 401(k) with matching \n Health, Dental & Vision Insurance \n Health Savings Account (HSA) \n Paid Time Off \n Life Insurance \n Referral Program \n
