Primary Responsibilities:


  • Architect and lead development of Naviguard Data Assets
  • Architect and lead development of Naviguard Extract/Transform/Load (ETL)
  • Manage Kafka integrations with core UHC systems
  • Manage Airflow ETL job orchestration
  • Provide technical guidance to junior software engineers
  • Recommend and ensure best practices are followed
  • Perform code reviews for work produced by other team members
  • Understanding and implementation of security and data protection
  • Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications
  • Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features

    Required Qualifications


    • 5+ years of experience developing ETL and enrichment processes for large datasets
    • 5+ years of experience with healthcare data
    • Experience with Python
    • Experience with Data Engineering best practices including Test Automation, Quality Controls, Reconciliation, Documenting data flows, etc.

        Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado/Connecticut/Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
