Description: A Senior Electrical Engineering job in Indianapolis, IN is currently available at Belcan. This is a direct, full time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience.
Job duties:
- Contribute and add value to client projects in the areas of electrical component requirements analysis, definition, decomposition, traceability, and management; system architecture and design; system integration, system verification and validation, technical issue resolution, qualification and certification support.
- Project management, mentoring and team leadership.
- Orient to new situations quickly and apply logical problem-solving skills to address customers' most challenging issues.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Systems Engineering or related scientific degree
- A minimum of 5 years electrical systems engineering experience
- Electronic Controller Unit (ECU) design, preferably FADEC designs
- Electric System requirements (definition, decomposition, traceability, & management)
- System verification & validation (planning, execution, artifact development)
- System and component qualification and certification
- Experience with requirements management and verification management tools (e.g. DOORS, Jama, Quality Manager

• Familiarity with printed circuit design and/or FPGA design
  
  - Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to engage and present to customers
    
    - US Citizenship is a requirement
    Preferred Qualifications:
    - Preferred experience in Engine Control Systems with focus on the development of modern FADEC systems
    - Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
    - Experience with engineering standards such as DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP 4754, ARP-4761, MIL-STD-882
    - Experience with manual & automated testing and troubleshooting
    - Experience with certification testing for agencies such as NASA, DoD, or FAA,
    - Knowledge of hardware, software, or system certification processes
    - Experience with Agile development methods
    - Aptitude to work collaboratively and drive consensus and alignment within and across organizational boundaries
    - Ability to influence key decision-makers and highly technical resources

    We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $85,000 to $135,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
