  • Many More!Job DetailsWe are currently seeking an experienced Transmission Line Engineer with expertise in transmission line engineering to join our Power Delivery team. The ideal candidate will possess critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and teamwork skills, as well as a strong desire to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges. Candidates with a minimum of 1-year experience in PLS-CADD are eligible for remote work. Hybrid also available for candidates who live close to one of our offices, should they prefer being on-site. In this role as a Transmission Line Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a team of engineers and project managers in the design of transmission lines. You should have a strong technical focus, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in computer applications.Responsibilities:
    • Complete daily project tasks to ensure successful project delivery, including:
    • Preparation of Specification Packages
    • Preparation of Structural and Fabrication Drawings
    • Design and Analysis of Transmission Lines using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Tower
    • Design and Analysis of foundations
    • Analysis of existing and proposed structures in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications
    • Conducting Electrical Clearance checks and calculations
    • Coordination and development of permits for Railroads, Roadways, and Environmental Crossings
    • Apply engineering principles to support the design of Power Delivery Projects
    • Demonstrate attention to detail
    • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Perform complex tasks following established processes
    • Mentor and provide training to junior engineersDirection Received:
      • Receive guidance on objectives, unconventional or complex problems, modified techniques, and new approaches for assignments with conflicting criteria
      • Design a portion of a project, system, component, or process
      • Prepare complete project documents
      • Conduct field investigations, analyze and interpret data
      • Formulate and solve problemsEducation and Training:
        • A Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college or university is required, with a preference for Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering
        • Preferred experience with PLS suite (PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE)
        • Preferred experience with PLS-TOWER
        • Overall experience and/or a combination of licensure/certification should range from 2-7 yearsCompetency:
          • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Microstation, and PLS SuiteCommunication Skills:
            • Strong written and verbal communication skills
            • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical reports, procedures, and regulations
            • Ability to write reports and other business correspondence
            • Effective presentation skills and the ability to respond to inquiries from colleaguesMathematical Skills:
