Diesel Technician - 2nd Shift

Description

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business (Indianapolis, IN).

$5000 Sing on bonus

2ndShift Hours: 3pm - 11:30 pm Monday - Friday

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• 
  
• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
  
  
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
  
  
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
  
  
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  
  
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
  
  
• Maintain own tools
  
  
  
  In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • 
    
  • Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
    
    
  • Larger more complicated engine rebuilds
    
    
  • Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation
    
    
    
    Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.     This position does not require a CDL but would be nice to have, a CDL may be required to obtain upon hire.

    • Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
      
      
      
      This position will require a completed DMV driving report but no Driver Qualification file. CANDIDATE MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD AND HAVE 2 YEARS DRIVING EXPERIENCE. This position will be part of the FTA pool.

      • A current valid license is required for this role
        
        
      • Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
        
        
      • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
        
        
      • This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
