Job Description:
In Thermal Management MAHLE is one of the world's leading
original equipment manufacturers today, developing cooling and air
conditioning systems as well as complete thermal management
solutions not only for passenger cars and commercial vehicles but
also for various mobile and stationary off-highway applications. To
increase the efficiency and service life of engines, as well as to
reduce emissions, MAHLE manufactures filters and pump systems as
well as oil coolers for engine and transmission applications. This
way we ensure clean air and prevent contamination in oil and fuel
that can damage the engine. Clean supply air is also extremely
important for the smooth operation of fuel cells. Your Contribution
Our Engineering Supervisor is responsible to assist production in
achieving their productivity goals by setting up an engineering
regiment that will enable our processes to run efficiently with
minimal down time. Support & achieve plant / departmental goals.
Manage engineering resources for all assigned operations across all
three shifts. Close coordination with other Engineering managers
with regards to resource sharing & issue resolution. Implement
manufacturing strategies, projects, and action plans in support of
strategic initiatives. Manage technical risks throughout project
implementation and series production. Manage department staffing
level & training program, ensuring most effective return on assets
while reducing overtime. Lead team in creating, quoting & executing
solid engineering plans for product/process changes, continuous
improvement initiatives, quality improvements, etc. Prepare and
present detailed reports/graphs on assigned topics as required
Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the
Company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include
interviewing, hiring, training, and mentoring employees; planning,
assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding
and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
problems. Your Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree
required, B.S. in Engineering, or a comparable field preferred.
Five or more years’ experience in manufacturing. Minimum of three
years of progressive responsibility regarding engineering or
manufacturing operations. Experience in an automotive manufacturing
facility required; high volume, medium to large campus experience
preferred. Knowledge in IATF16949 Audits and ISO14001 and 45001
Audits and processes. Excellent diagnostic abilities / root cause
analysis required; Lean Six Sigma and Black Belt certification
desirable. Strong ability to read & interpret electrical &
mechanical schematics and blueprints. Ability to interface with all
levels of Management, customers & vendors with high confidence and
skilled communication. Perform at a high level of energy with the
ability to cope with variable levels of stress. Proven leadership
and employee development skills. Good working knowledge of:
Robotics, PLC programs, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, Electrical
and Electronic systems, Mechanical Power transmission and
Combustion; Preventative & Predictive Maintenance Processes, Safety
