Lincoln Electric, a leader in the welding and cutting industry, is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our innovative team in Cleveland, Ohio. As part of our engineering department, you will play a vital role in designing and developing cutting-edge machinery and equipment that continues to advance our market leadership in welding solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to drive projects from conception through implementation, ensuring they meet cost, time, and quality specifications. Design, analyze, and improve mechanical equipment and systems to enhance our product offerings. Lead multiple project teams in the development of technical projects within time and budget constraints. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure seamless project integration. Perform detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications. Oversee project workflow and support junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance as necessary. Communicate with stakeholders to report project status, potential issues, and subsequent solutions. Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental and safety regulations at all times. Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD Strong understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, and materials science Project management skills, capable of administering multiple projects simultaneously Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically Strong communication and interpersonal skills PMP certification (Project Management Professional) is preferred but not required. Professional Engineer (PE) license is beneficial.
