Job Description:
Ryder, a leader in logistics and transportation solutions, is
seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic for our first shift operations to
ensure the performance and reliability of our diverse vehicle
fleet. In this role, you will work with state-of-the-art technology
in a dynamic, supportive environment, aiming to maximize efficiency
and innovate solutions in fleet management. This position offers a
unique opportunity to contribute significantly to Ryder’s
operations and customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest
standards of vehicle performance and safety. Perform routine and
preventative maintenance on a wide range of diesel engines and
heavy-duty trucks. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic
problems, utilizing diagnostic computer software as necessary.
Complete repair orders and maintain detailed records of all
maintenance activities. Collaborate with fleet management to
suggest improvements and report on fleet status. Ensure compliance
with all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software for vehicle
analysis. Strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics and
electronic systems. Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and
service technical equipment. Excellent communication and teamwork
skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k
Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) or ability to obtain within
6 months. ASE Diesel Certification highly desired.
