Delivery (GFD) organization, part of Corporate Engineering and
Global HSE, delivers new and renovated capital assets around the
world through a highly leveraged organization of design,
construction, and qualification contractors. Assets delivered focus
on medical innovation, expanding supply of existing medicines, and
strengthening the supply chain. Key Objectives/Deliverables: Manage
the architectural process within GFD, integrating with Corporate
and Local Engineering to evaluate, consult on, and deliver facility
assessment, programming, and design. Contribute to Site Master
Planning processes; develop conceptual design studies for Lilly
facility projects. Represent Lilly as lead architect in Concept,
Basic, and Detailed Design phases, making final decisions on look,
form, and function. Serve as SME for architecture and
planning/design of Manufacturing Exteriors and full
Non-Manufacturing environments like laboratories, administrative
office etc. Develop workplace strategies supporting business needs
including ergonomics, aesthetics, space utilization, and business
transformation. Direct development of architectural design
requirements ensuring consistency with existing facilities and
compliance with Lilly Standards. Coordinate information flow
between design teams, A/E firms, Engineering Tech Center, Lilly
Research Labs, Lilly Facility Managers, Global Workplace
Strategists, system owners, and end users. Lead architectural
design governance (Lilly and contractors), resolving issues related
to site selection, structural, planning, aesthetic, brand, and
furniture decisions. Drive external benchmarking and research on
workplace trends, including space and cost per person/workspace by
facility type. Serve as primary Lilly liaison to the architectural
design community and external facilities/real estate networks.
Support value engineering exercises, identify design
inefficiencies, and direct the team to meet or improve design hours
plan. Participate in selection of architectural professional
services and design/construction team organization. Contribute to
development of the Project Verification Plan, Traceability Matrix,
and risk assessments Review and provide feedback on the Lilly
Integrated Workplace Standard and implementation of the standard
for accessibility Maintain licensure as an Indiana Registered
Architect Minimum Requirements: Undergraduate or graduate degree in
Architecture. Registered Architect licensure required. Minimum 10
years of relevant architecture and building construction
project/program management experience in pharmaceutical processes

planning facility types Strong networks within architectural
design, construction, and workplace consulting fields Ability to
communicate complex options to cross-functional/multi-company teams
and gain consensus Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict
resolution skills with ability to influence all levels of the
project and site personnel Project management experience leading
internal and external resources Compliance with Lilly policies and
architectural profession licensing requirements Potential of
co-location at A/E firm or job site may occur based on project

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $129,000 -
$209,000 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a
company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual
performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit
