Position Summary: The Vice President and Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the Operating Company's (OpCo) budget creation and execution to support achievement of core growth, operating margin expansion and working capital turn targets. As a partner to the President and L1 Leadership Team, the senior leader will support the development of the annual OpCo strategy financial model and handle its evolution by supporting and sponsoring strategic investments in the business. In addition, the senior leader will partner with Danaher, Life Science Platform, and OpCo Business Unit functions to support accessing technology assets or capabilities through M&A, licensing, and/or partnership agreements with other companies thru diligence and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership to global financial close process monthly (Actuals and Forecast) and active partnership with Beckman Coulter Diagnostics accounting and finance teams to 'get the numbers right' with high integrity and full visibility. Build the Global Finance Team commensurate with company growth with an emphasis on competence, integrity and compliance with an eye toward succession planning and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Design, implement, and monitor internal controls for the purpose of ensuring strict compliance and protecting the integrity of the company's assets Be a key business partner to the President and the L1 staff in support of growth and critical initiatives demonstrating key members of the finance team in areas of Sales, Marketing, R&D and Operations, Strategy & Open Innovation and M&A. Lead the development and monitoring of key operational metrics to drive financial and operational performance. Identify and pursue prudent financial investments in the business as well as process and profitability improvements throughout the company. Provide leadership and financial resources to deliver all financial requirements to both the company and Danaher in the areas of Actual, Supplemental, Forecasting and Budget. Requirements: B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting MBA and/or CPA preferred Minimum 15 years' experience required in Senior Financial roles in a Global environment Experience working in manufacturing environment preferred with knowledge of cost accounting Deep understanding of US GAAP, particularly revenue recognition M&A and related integration experience resulting in successful ROIC Ability to work in a strong team environment, encouraging collaboration, respectful debates while crafting strong followership from the finance and L1 team members Life Science and/or Diagnostics confirmed experience a plus Location: Located in Indianapolis, IN; Miami, FL; San Jose, CA; Brea, CA or Loveland, CO Beckman Coulter facilities. Preference is Indianapolis, IN or San Jose, CA. Travel: Approximately 30% travel is required throughout North America, Europe and Asia upon "Return to Work" from COVID 19 restrictions The salary range for this role is $225K to 275K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
