Job Description:
The Opportunity :
We are looking for an experienced Director of Talent Acquisition to
take charge of the recruiting function at Republic Airways. This
person must be passionate about people leadership and recruiting
execution. Fostering this team of more than 30 as they drive the
hiring success for the country's 2nd largest independent regional
airline.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have strong leadership, strategic
capability, technical awareness, and problem-solving skills to lead
a team of aviation recruitment professionals successfully in a
competitive labor market.
Lead a large team (30+) of recruiters responsible for multiple
complex workstreams in which change is the only constant.
Responsible for leading, planning and implementing long- and
short-term strategies to meet the demands of an industry in
flux.
Establishes and tracks key metrics of progression around strategic
projects and initiatives, review results with key stakeholders, and
adjusts the strategy as necessary.
Ability to work at a high strategic level and get down into the
weeds as demands shift.
Creates and implements process improvements to support a long-term
hiring plan.
Develop and implement engagement and DE&I best practices that
drive inclusive behaviors and business outcomes throughout the
division.
Partner with leaders across the Operations and Corporate
environment to ensure that Talent Acquisition is aligned with the
needs on the line and the back-office.
Manages the development of team members through the setting of
expectations, accountability, and training.
Understand the talent demand based on business goals and be a key
partner in
headcount planning.
Build talent pipelines for current and future job openings
Lead all sourcing strategies
Manage our external partnerships with colleges, job boards and HR
software vendors
Implement online and offline employer branding activities
Prepare and review our annual recruitment budget
Oversee all stages of candidate experience (including application,
interviews and communication)
Forecast hiring needs based on business growth plans
Manage, train and evaluate our team of recruiters
Participate in and host recruitment events to drive awareness of
our company
Develop a network of potential future hires (e.g. past applicants
and referred candidates)
Measure key recruitment metrics, like source of hire and
time-to-hire
Qualifications/Experience
10+ Years of progressive in Human Resources with Talent Acquisition
experience in a high-volume environment.
BSc/MSc in Human Resources Management or relevant field
Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Director or similar
role
Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle recruiting and employer
branding initiatives
Solid understanding of sourcing techniques and tools (e.g. social
networks)
Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and HR
databases
BSc/MSc in Human Resources Management or relevant field
Experience in a high-volume staffing or sales recruitment
environment.
Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and
relationship building skills, with the ability to motivate and lead
a team to achieve desired business results and communicate
effectively with Republic's executive leadership.
Passionate, strategic leader who has successfully influenced a
cohesive and collaborative recruitment culture across an
organization
Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment and meet multiple
demands and tight deadlines.
Ability to develop a deep understanding of the business and its key
drivers and balance detailed analysis with high-level strategic
presentation.
Strong attention to detail is required.
Must have the ability to embrace and promote change.
Aviation experience is preferred -but a passion for aviation is a
key component to success.
