Growth team leads partnership development efforts with prospective
health system clients to assess the financial value and operational
delivery risk of a partnership with Optum. Our goal is to convert
sales prospects into revenue generating partnerships utilizing
broader Optum's solutions to make the health system work better for
everyone. -We work closely with the initial sales/origination team,
senior leadership, solution design, transition readiness, and
business units throughout the organization to ensure collaboration
and process optimization for the entirety of the sales cycle. - The
MPP Business Development Project Manager will be responsible for
supporting the MPP Chief of Staff and Growth Operations team in
efforts related to department day-to-day operations and sales
support activities. The Project Manager will conduct end-to-end
management of large Market Performance Partnership (MPP) sales
pursuits during the initial stages of the sales cycle. This role is
expected to have experience in supporting and leading
cross-functional teams and subject matter experts with varying
backgrounds and communication styles, including sales, information
technology, finance and vendor management, revenue cycle
operations, clinicians, compliance, and human capital. The Project
Manager will ensure operating cadence and internal processes are
being followed, and assist senior leaders in strategy development
and collateral creation. - The Project Manager will also aid in
department process standardization and assist in development of
standard templates / SOPs for conducting more efficient operations.
Excellent organization skills, communication, a positive attitude
and flexibility with the ability to adapt quickly to change are

produce thorough and accurate work in a high profile and fast paced

Primary Responsibilities:
- Operational orchestration of MPP early-stage pursuits,
development of a 2-3 month project plan impacting a
cross-functional team -
- Partner closely with the MPP leadership team assigned to each
pursuit, comprising of a Capture executive and business architect
lead in the coordination and preparation for conducting Discovery
phase activities
- Create deliverables related to pursuit strategy and operating
cadence, project status, risks, and expected results. Plan and
deliver well-structured oral and written communications,
highlighting strategic opportunities
- Coordinate directly with prospective client executives and
internal Optum stakeholders to manage MPP pursuits. This
responsibility will require client facing communications,
executive-level presence, and storyboarding and presentation
skills
- Make recommendations to leadership as it relates to Discovery
phase activities strategy and milestone planning
- Educate teams on MPP methodology and best practices
- Raise awareness of any misalignment or misunderstanding of
project scope and objectives with applicable stakeholders
- Ensure that all impacted areas are identified, and that
appropriate resources are engaged to participate in the scope
definition process
- Conduct research and gather information on prospective clients
through online research and internal database information
- Collaborate with marketing and sales in the development of MPP
sales/marketing collateral, slide content, and other materials
related to our value story, capabilities and services
- Serve as a subject matter expert for creation, final review and
QA of client-facing presentations and document content in order to
achieve a consistent, streamlined outcome
- Manage internal PowerPoint slide library and develop a process
to ensure its integrity and upkeep
- Collaborate with marketing & operations in creating case
studies and proof points to demonstrate the value of our services
to our current end-to-end / MPP customers
- Responsible for ad-hoc executive reference visit process
coordination and event planning. Curate content for site visits and
customize messaging to ensure it will resonate with the prospect
and aligns with pursuit strategy. -

- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of experience in a business development, strategy or
consulting role
- 2+ years of experience in managing highly complex
cross-functional projects or due diligence efforts with significant
leadership / executive-level exposure
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint,
Microsoft Excel
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this

revenue cycle operations, population health, Information Technology
outsourcing, and management consulting
- Understanding of the US healthcare system

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range
for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for
Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based
on several factors including but not limited to education, work
experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary,
