Job Description:
The incumbent, External Supply (ES) Business Program Lead, is
primarily responsible for the following:
- Accountable and responsible for the establishment and
management of a program management office (PMO) approach for
complex multi-faceted global External Supply (ES) initiatives
across various ES Enabling Functions and in support of Lightspeed
Programs for New Products with internal Pfizer Sites and External
Partners (e.g. CMOs).
- This includes understanding and adapting the PMO to the overall
identified business strategy and deliverables and subsequently
establishing/coordinating complex T4 & T5 levels of a multi-layered
governance leveraging enterprise principles for an ES BU and/or ES
Network Design & Performance (NDP) unit Responsible for setting the
program management objectives & delivering the plan with the
respective ES business unit leader, or New Products, Business
Integration (NPBI) Lead, ES Operations and Functional Leads,
Network Design & Performance (NDP) colleagues, etc, ensuring
stakeholders are identified/engaged, coordinating internal
communications and high level of program management oversight
- Work with ES Operation and Functional leads with technical &
business acumen to drive actionable solutions to highly complex
projects and/or initiatives to meet identified business critical
needs that provides for programs meeting its timelines associated
to tech transfers, contractual commitments, etc.
- Leverages and engages with multiple communication platforms and
techniques to ensure stakeholders understand business
priorities.
- This includes driving awareness of issues across multiple
layers of T3/T4/T5 stakeholders. Ensuring an open effective
communication environment for internal and external partner
stakeholders that include ES Ops Leaders, PGS Subject Matter
Experts (SMEs), and where needed Contract Manufacturers (CMOs)
stakeholders required to ensure timeline and metric adherence.
- Where needed, resolve delays in consultation with ES BU Lead or
T5 Lead
- Leads all program metrics and reporting requirements for the
complex program that includes, managing metric tracking &
reporting, independently addressing technical & business actionable
shortfalls with SMEs (via Ops Leads if appropriate) and
coordinating escalations if issue resolution not identified
- Develops and leverages resources to implement innovative
ideas/processes in support of driving successful business outcomes
to meeting or accelerating critical milestones which includes
gather progress and opportunities of CMO related activities,
enables continuous improvement efforts such as problem solving
through operational excellenceROLE RESPONSIBILITIESIn order of
importance, indicate the primary responsibilities critical to the

accountable for the following:
- ES Business Program Management - Responsible to establish the
program management for complex multi-faceted global projects and/or
initiatives from ES enabling functions and programs such as
Lightspeed, manage key program management tools, including RACI
across VSOT and other functional team members, micro-step plans,
standardized status reporting and risk / issue management tool,
communications plan for various leadership forums
- Multi-layered Governance (T4/T5) Management (Internal/External
Partners) - Accountable and responsible to establish and
coordinates complex T4 & T5 levels where applicable of a
multi-layered governance leveraging based on IMEx principles for an
ES BU, NPBI team and/or ES NDP unit. Ensures governance structure
and meeting content/cadence are established for stakeholder
understanding, visibility and accountability to meet timelines and
deliverables
- Technical & Business Activity Management - Responsible for
working with the Operation and Functional leads, NPI leads, NDP and
any other stakeholders/colleagues to facilitate actionable
resolution or identified business critical needs for programs
meeting its timelines associated with tech transfers, contractual
commitments, etc.
- Complex Metric Management, Reporting & Issue Resolution -
Responsible to work with key stakeholders (Internal and External
Partners, where appropriate) for data metric collection for T4 & T5
Huddles where appropriate. Operates program management routines on
an identified needed cadence and adjusts based on business needs
and drivers. Independently addresses technical & business
actionable shortfalls with SMEs (via Ops Leads or other SMEs, if
appropriate) and coordinate escalations for issue resolution that
requires decision making by T5 leadership
- Complex Communication Reporting and Management - Responsible
for the program management communication plan and stakeholder
engagement. Operates a structured process with ES BU and NPBI Lead
to ensure that a timely, actionable updates are provided
- Program Management Continuous Improvement - Develops and
leverages resources to implement innovative ideas/processes in
support of driving successful outcomes to meeting or accelerating
critical milestones. Drives business process enhancement, problem
solving etc leveraging operational excellence
principlesQUALIFICATIONSBasic Qualifications:Level of Education:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Science, Technical, or
Supply Chain) or related discipline
- Formal Project Management education (e.g. Certified
PMP)Experience:
- Minimum 10+ years related professional experience
- In-depth and extensive demonstrated knowledge of advanced MS
Office Suite (ie PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) use and ability
to utilize digital platforms
- Project Management and/or Operational Excellence
experience
- Operational, Technical, Supply Chain, and/or Quality
experience
- Working in a global environmentLanguages:
- Fluency in EnglishKnowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing
processes and regulatory requirements
- Good span of understand of end to end supply chain and
functional business processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a
must
- Demonstrated ability to participate in teams at all levels of
management
- Ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter
- Must have expert knowledge in MS Office Suite (i.e.,
PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills including leadership,

- Experience in projects that require collaborative approaches;
strong analytical skills; ability to understand business issues and

- Business degree complementary to a science degree
- Experience in operations with CMOs or external suppliers

arrange them to highlight key information
- Comprehensive knowledge of a broad range of operational
excellence methodologies / programs
- Ability to define, evaluate and recommend improvement

- Strong business acumen with manufacturing and supply chain
experiences preferred
