The GEICO Cloud Services and Strategy team is looking for highly motivated technical Manager to join our Platform Engineering team. As a Manager of the team, will focus on all aspects of design, analysis, implementation of cloud systems on AWS Cloud platform. The candidate will work with a team of Cloud/Software engineers to build high performance cloud-based services adoption platform. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building a state-of-the-art technology platform and work with group of developers/engineers and architects to define a strategy for adoption of services. An ideal candidate will lead and manage team of Senior Software Engineers + principal engineers to build and deliver the Cloud management platform for the enterprise. The scope of responsibilities includes cloud modernization strategy, managed services, agile development team management and cloud service provisioning. Serves as the lead cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) for implementing and overseeing cloud computing strategy. Responsibilities: * Lead a team of Senior DevOps Engineers & Solution Architects to design cloud-based solutions with the responsibility to ensure the application teams maintains an overall productivity and efficiency in using our platform. * Designing and using Infrastructure as a Code in defining your cloud management platform using terraform. * Provide assessments for various type of service adoption for public cloud, COTS application used for various reasons at GEICO. * Design cloud infrastructure that includes designing network, security, full stack application architecture for business applications to use. * Maintain an understanding of advancing cloud capabilities, IT, and business needs to collaborate with business application teams on upcoming strategic decisions. * Act as a product owner and maintain a roadmap of customer enhancements according to the customer's requirements. * Deliver end-to-end cloud architecture solutions. * Coach and develop associates, Establish goals and evaluate performance. * Collaborate with enterprise architecture team and other stakeholders to determine enterprise tools, technologies, and processes. * Support the development of open architectures and applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms to ensure they are best suited for Cloud deployment and consumption. * Drives the organization towards Cloud best practices and supporting technologies to enable such capabilities as DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, Cloud scalability, and Micro-Services. * Architect, design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement cloud solutions across a hybrid cloud platform. * Strong understanding of the CI/CD pipeline including implementation of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Job Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline * Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated experience working with senior level stakeholders and development teams * Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing to convey cloud technologies and solutions to all levels of customer personnel * Experience with Agile development methodologies * Experience with AWS Cloud platform * Hands on experience with Terraform Benefits: At GEICO, we make sure you have the support and resources to leverage and develop your skills, secure your financial future, and take care of your health and well-being. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
