It was during that pursuit that they discovered ABA therapy. Victor attended one of the first ABA centers in the state of Indiana and Gregg and Sandy experienced firsthand the transformative impact of ABA therapy for their son, and their family.
It was from this experience that Lighthouse Autism Center (LAC) was born.     As Sr. Director of Total Rewards and HR Operations, you will provide leadership of the Total Rewards philosophy, strategy, design and implementation, aligning it with business strategy and market competitiveness. In addition, you will manage the company's human capital management (HCM) and payroll system (Paylocity), ensuring continuous evaluation and improvement of HR processes and systems so that they contribute added value and effective service delivery to the organization.
    In this role, you will need to understand the business and how attracting, motivating, and retaining top talent is essential to deliver high-quality service to our clients.

    • In partnership with the CHRO and business leadership, develop and implement strategic and operating plans for payroll, HR technology, benefits and compensation team. Establish the goals, strategies, action plans and measurements required to ensure programs support business objectives.
    • Lead, coach, mentor and inspire team to deliver on organizational strategy and growth initiatives.
    • Provide consultative advice in wide range of topics (compensation, benefits, technology, analytics and operation efficiencies) to HR partners and cross functional partners.
    • Champion the communication and education of Total Rewards programs throughout all levels of the organization, including the brand appropriate design and implementation of communications tools improving the understanding, utilization and value of the programs.
    • Business owner of the HCM/HRIS system (Paylocity) with overall responsibility for all modules and functionality in support of HR and business processes.
    • Manage relationship with Paylocity account manager and lead projects and initiatives to increase the value of the system in day-to-day operations.
    • Provide leadership, develop strategy and ensure effective utilization of Paylocity as the organization's single source of truth.
    • Define key HR metrics and develops practical tracking and reporting methods via PowerBI dashboards.
    • Work with IT in the buildout of Paylocity functionality to automate routine processes, reduce manual effort, and provide HR, manager, and employee self-service.
    • Serve as the company's "super-user" and provide training as need to users of the system.
    • Establish and oversee health and welfare benefits to attract and retain talent. Manage and evaluate benefit programs, in partnership with our broker/partners and with an eye towards innovation, wellbeing, cost and value to employees and the Company.
    • Review and analyze the benefits market to determine employee needs, trends, regulations, and practices, and either amplifies existing or recommends and develops new programs.
    • Develop and maintains a written audit plan to ensure that internal and legislative policy requirements are met including current knowledge of relevant and related government rules and regulations in the areas of benefits and compensation, including ERISA, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ACA, COBRA, OSHA, HIPAA, etc.
    • Lead wellness initiatives.
    • Establish and oversee the documentation and administration of compensation and rewards processes
    • Establish and oversee payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements.
    • Design short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing and delivery operations.
    • Keep stakeholders informed about the status of payroll laws and regulations and develops implementation plans for required changes to operations.

      Reports to CHRO
      Oversees Payroll, Benefits, and HR Analytics staff (2-3)
      Works closely in collaboration with all functional areas of the organization

      • Ability to lead and manage Benefits, Compensation, Payroll and HRIS design and implementation; prior experience required
      • Demonstrated strong financial and data analysis skills; quick learner
      • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills evidencing the ability to think and act strategically
      • Demonstrated ability to gain consensus in developing and implementing optimal HRIS and total reward strategies
      • Experience with relevant payroll, compensation, benefits, financial, accounting and legal issues
      • A history of improving processes and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
      • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, fluid work environment
      • A successful track record of building, mentoring and developing high-performance teams
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capability of working and influencing all levels of associates
      • Strong organization skills with detail orientation and proven project management capabilities including the capability of managing multiple key projects simultaneously


        • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
        • 5 - 7 years of experience working in all aspects of total rewards including payroll, benefits, and compensation administration
        • 2 - 3 years of experience leading a total rewards function in a start-up or high-growth organization
        • Experience using and managing a HCM/HRIS; Paylocity experience preferred
