Job Description:

Red Envelope is seeking a Human Resources Manager for a large, national organization located downtown Indianapolis that serves an employee population of 600+.
The HR Manager will develop and implement activities such as: professional level recruiting, compensation/total rewards management, employee relations, employee benefits, organizational development and training, and labor relations. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys both day-to-day employee relations and strategic projects.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Develop strategic recruitment plan for management level and hourly positions.
  • Manage and mentor 2 HR team members- HR Generalist and Payroll Manager.
  • Understand the needs and responsibilities of human resources within a decentralized organization. Employees reside in multiple states across the country.
  • Develop company training programs.
  • Administer salary policies and programs. Review and adjust salary ranges annually.
  • Oversee employee benefits program administration.
  • Lead company compliance with all governmental and labor legal requirements across various states. Compliance requirements include Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Department of Labor, Workers' Compensation, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and state-specific labor laws.
  • Support and define the company culture.
  • Manage updates to the employee handbook.
  • Provide counsel to all management personnel in regards to employee issues.
  • Conduct annual associate engagement survey. Requirements
    Basic:
    • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, and/or related field.
    • 8+ Years of Human Resources experience
    • 3+ Years of Management experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Preferred:
      • SPHR/PHR or SHRM-CP/SCP Certification
      • Workday HRM Experience
      • Previous work experience in a hospitality type of industry
      • Proven leadership skills which support an environment of employee growth and development, interdepartmental teamwork and exceptional customer service.
      • Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when necessary.
      • Service and detail-oriented. Possesses a friendly demeanor and problem-solving skills.
