The Principal, Consumer IAM Product Management is responsible to lead strategic product management, including the planning, design and implementation of enterprise-level consumer identity and access management (CIAM) capabilities within the Enterprise Information Protection organization. This role will be coordinate the activities of a cross-organizational and multi-disciplinary CIAM product team, working with business and technology stakeholders to identity business and consumer needs and manage the definition and deployment of IAM capabilities and processes with a focus on consumer-facing portals and applications. The role requires a grasp of application security principles and practices and a background working in both IAM and cloud initiatives within a large enterprise. This is a strategic leadership and hands-on role, focused specifically on external authentication (B2B, B2C, B2B2C) for Humana's members and business partners. You will be a visionary looking for opportunities and innovative solutions in the Consumer IAM space.
Responsibilities

The role requires a grasp of application security principles and practices and a background working in both IAM and cloud initiatives within a large enterprise. This is a strategic leadership and hands-on role, focused specifically on external authentication (B2B, B2C, B2B2C) for Humana's members and business partners. You will be a visionary looking for opportunities and innovative solutions in the Consumer IAM space.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience interacting with key business and IT executives and stakeholders to lead cyber-security product and platform implementation. The candidate should have excellent communications skills and have demonstrated experience building strong relationships with senior leaders across the business. Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts including Consumer IAM approaches is a must. The candidate will manage the strategic roadmap leading to delivery of a portfolio of IAM products, including prioritizing activities of multiple product delivery teams, product and project managers. In addition, the candidate will be responsible to cast a clear and compelling vision for consumer identity, including the application of emerging trends and technologies to deliver increased business value.
Responsibilities include coordinating IAM program strategy, governance and execution, solution design and integrations, program awareness, securing funding, business relationship management, and organizational change management. This position requires a seasoned leader with strong business acumen and a detailed working knowledge of IAM technologies, practices, policies, and their application at enterprise scale. The successful candidate is comfortable interacting with the most senior levels of IT, audit and cyber security program leadership, and with Humana's business leaders to help direct the IAM program as a business enabler.
Responsibilities:
The Principal Product Manager will manage all aspects of delivery of IAM product capabilities.



  • Acts as the CIAM product portfolio's strategic leader within the company.


  • Provide regular executive updates to ensure alignment with senior business and IT executives and the business segments they support


  • Develops the business case for new products and capabilities, as well as improvements to existing products within the portfolio.


  • Coordinate with IT and business portfolio owners to ensure appropriate resource and financial commitments, including portfolio funding.


  • Establish, align on and communicate product and portfolio roadmaps and OKRs.


  • Drive development of dashboards and reports using analytics, metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress.


  • Identify and quantify opportunities for roadmap prioritization. Assess tech debt as part of the development backlog and manage accordingly.


  • Ensure backlog is visible, is prioritized based on user and business value, is constantly revisited, estimated & prioritized.


  • Operate two-in-a-box with Product Owner(s) to lead cross-organizational product team, including developers, testers, architects and project managers.


  • Collaborate intra-team as well as with broader internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, business teams and partners. Share information and results effectively and succinctly with right level of information detail.


  • Achieve favorable outcomes when there is conflict of interest, both internally and externally using data, technology and market knowledge.


  • Establish and maintain key supporting vendor relationships, influence vendor roadmaps and incorporate into internal product roadmap.


  • Develop intelligence about user needs and behavior patterns. Form and present empathy maps and clearly identify user profiles. Map features to target personas and value.


  • Represent Humana in community and industry, programs and conferences.


    Required Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent experience


    • 10+ years of technical cyber security experience


    • 2+ years of management experience


    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.


    • Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders


    • Deep understanding of agile development processes; lean startup mentality.


    • Ability to deeply understand good and bad user experience and identify opportunities for improvement. "Design for Delight" mindset.


    • Understanding of tracking intra product dependencies, system integrations, interfaces.


    • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences


      Preferred Qualifications


      • Master's Degree in Information Security, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field


      • Prior experience in the Identity & Access management (IAM) industry, ideally with focus in the Consumer IAM space


      • Experience implementing CIAM solutions within multi-cloud environment (e.g. MS Azure, AWS, GCP), as well as on-premise. Experience with ForgeRock platform a plus.


      • Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM


      • Experience with complex technical environments similar in scale and scope to Humana


      • Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes
