Job Duties
The Manager Nursing (RN) manages the patient rooms & recovery at
Hancock Surgery Center. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the
delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all
patients and staff This leader plans, directs, coordinates, and
evaluates the overall clinical practices and activities necessary
for the unit to function daily.
The Nurse Manager also:
Participates in the development and implementation of policies and
procedures.
Monitors and participates in actual patient care.
Maintain open communication with all staff to promote improvement
in performance and quality care.
Helps to maintain the budget, evaluates the capture of daily
charges, and maintains accountability for charges for supplies and
equipment.
Participates in the interviewing, hiring, counseling, and
termination of employees.
Your Qualifications
Five (5) years of RN experience with a minimum of three (3) years
of management/leadership experience required.
Two (2) years of operating room, critical care, or recovery
experience as a registered nurse preferred.
2-year / Associate Degree Graduate of National League for Nursing
(NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or
Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
Bachelor's degree required within 5 years of assuming the role.
Relevant nursing certification (CAPA) within 3 years of employment
is required.
Current Indiana Registered Nurse License.
