About You

With your client services and pharmaceutical/biotech or managed care agency experience, you keep an eye on trends and ways to solve the complex marketing challenges facing your client. Handling timelines, budgets, people and process- it's all in a day's work. You're in the thick of it - engaging with all departments, all the time - and loving it!

What you can expect day-to-day:

Serving as the primary client liaison, you will build strong and lasting relationships with clients (including senior management) by achieving the client's marketing objectives, leading development of communications strategies, and resolving issues around project scope, fees, timing, or progress.

The Engagement Manager is responsible for exceeding client expectations through superior implementation, delivery and management of products and solutions. This individual is responsible for determining how to bring the best to the clients. Engagement Managers are the heart and center of managing the day-to-day activities of the full engagement team. Engagement Managers work closely with clients and Executive personnel to continually define the problem and deploy solutions by supporting the team in executing various work streams. Engagement Managers ensure the engagement stays on track and is focused on delivering valuable insights to the client while also coaching and mentoring analysts and consultants on their team. The Engagement Manager will utilize their skills through a breadth of challenges delivering long term effect to leaders in the health care sector.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Managing project teams including both internal and external resources in the design, development and delivery of client solutions
  • Leveraging business experience and acumen in identifying strategic alternatives and project approach to client questions
  • Proactively mentoring, coaching and sharing subject matter expertise with others to elevate our capabilities to deliver world-class solutions for clients
  • Serving as key point of contact with clients, managing the process of proposal preparation and/or modifications including overall bid integrity
  • Providing follow-up with client after project deliverable has been completed to ensure client satisfaction
  • Developing broader and deeper knowledge of consulting methodologies and the pharmaceutical market through on the job experience and training
  • Providing direction, advice and intellectual leadership to clients and delivery teams, through consistent participation in team meetings
  • Proactively identifying Business Development opportunities and coordinate follow up efforts
  • Provides high level input and ensures the development of client records and presentations and delivers all or significant portions of findings to client
  • Leading ad hoc work streams on critical people-related issues such as recruitment, learning and development
  • Ensures clear communication throughout projects and amongst team
  • Serving as key point of contact with clients
  • Ability to travel 15-50% of the time depending on project assignment.
    Qualifications:

    Minimum Required:
    • Education: Bachelor degree required.
    • 4-8 years' experience of Pharmaceuticals, Managed Markets Consulting or Managed Markets agency experience with broad based experience in sales, managed care, marketing and/or managed care analytics.
      Preferred:
      • Masters or MBA
      • Defined experience within Commercial Strategy.
      • Demonstrable experience in the following areas: leadership and influence in sizable and multi-disciplined teams, understanding and assessing client needs, incorporating in deliverables, and ensuring recommendations/results are implemented.
      • Experience in developing credible relationships with senior level managers and executives in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
      • 5+ years of experience in Pharmaceuticals, Managed Markets Consulting or Managed Markets agency experience with broad based experience in sales, managed care, marketing and/or analytics including direct reporting Management, vendor oversight, communication and management.
      • Client facing experience and Medical, legal, regulatory review experience
      • Experience in developing credible relationships with senior level managers and executives in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
      • Understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech business, marketing, financial or statistical analysis
      • Demonstrated ability to function as a successful project manager across multiple projects
      • 3+ years in an Account Services role within a pharmaceutical/medical communications company

        Precision is required by law in some states or cities to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.

        Reasonable estimate of the current range

        $94,000 - $156,000 USD
