Our Recreational Therapy Department is expanding and we have CTRS opportunities available in Vanderburgh, Hendricks, Marion, Morgan, Putnam, Madison, Johnson, Monroe and Hamilton Counties. Very Competitive Pay Flexible Schedule Job Summary: Sycamore Services Recreational Therapists work in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary support teams to provide community based treatment plans for individuals with disabilities. Therapists utilize the APIE standards, consider input from other Individual Support Team members as well as the individual served, conduct a standardized assessment and develop a therapeutic program targeted towards each individuals needs and identified goals. Therapists provide treatment services and recreation activities for individuals using a variety of techniques, including arts and crafts, sports, games, dance, drama, music and community outings, in an effort to improve and maintain the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of their clients so that they can enjoy greater independence. Job Qualifications: Have a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) Demonstrated ability to teach others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work non-standard/flexible schedule Valid drivers license and dependable transportation.
