The Executive Director, Data & Analytics leads a team focused on turning information into insights across a series of key business indicators, for example, operating revenue, volumes, patient engagement, and market segmentation and certain clinical indicators like patient outcome measures and effectiveness of care management programs. The leader will drive the strategic thinking, decision making and execution of data, analytics and reporting for the System Health Solutions (SHS) business unit. SHS, a division within Indiana University Heath, was formed in 2015 and is charged with making high quality care more accessible and affordable, creating a more seamless customer experience, and developing new care models and capabilities that improve health of our patients and communities. SHS business unit is made up of over 2500 team members and delivered $1.2B in net revenue in 2020 and delivers a wide range of services across the state for example; virtual care, urgent care, ambulatory surgery centers, ground and air transport, community and population health and the IU Health Plan.

The role will oversee the design, development, and deployment of business analytics and intelligence framework, tools and reports. Develop operational plans and prioritize initiatives ensuring timely high-quality reporting and analytics. Uses innovative data-driven and statistical methods to provide insights into business performance, growth opportunities, and customer behaviors. Create strategic recommendations and collaborate with executive teams, senior leaders, and key stakeholders to socialize and execute recommendations. This role will report to the CFO, Strategy, Data and Analytics leader for SHS.

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable business management or health administration. Master's preferred.
  • 7+plus years' experience in a business analytics role preferable in a health care related field.
  • Strong understanding of business analytics concepts including data analysis, data mining, statistical and predictive analysis.
  • Experience implementing solutions using advanced visualization tools and applications.
  • A proven leader of people who is able to recruit, retain, develop, and mentor a top-notch team capable of supporting future growth and has demonstrated leadership in promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Requires strong organization skills and strong customer service skills and ability to model service excellence.
  • Requires the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects, deadlines and process with attention to detail and organization.
  • Require strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A leader who knows how to optimally drive change in a complex, matrixed, distributed and yet system-oriented environment
