By leveraging the power of digital technologies and data, we aim to improve the lives of our patients, consumers, & employees and uniquely serve unmet needs.Johnson & Johnsons Global Network Architecture, Automation, and Engineering is looking for a Network Automation Engineer to partner with the Network Tools and Automation team in developing and achieving automation as a service in the Network domain, as we go through major transformation across Enterprise at J&J to enable programmability.The Network Tools and Automation team designs and develops pragmatic, reliable, and repeatable automated solutions through a combination of network engineering knowledge, DevOps practices, and coding. The Network Automation Engineer on the Network Tools and Automation team is responsible for developing automations, integrations, and custom functionality within our network automation platform. You will use a combination of network automation frameworks and tools, programming fundamentals, and knowledge of Enterprise, Cloud, and Software-Defined networks to develop and deploy low-code applications that automate functionality throughout network operations, delivery, and engineering at a global scale. You are outstanding at solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing, and implementing solutions to challenging technical issues. Most importantly, you are a network automation engineer that wants an exciting environment to continue developing your skills! Preferred Location: Raritan, NJ. Other US-Remote locations will be considered; EST time zone is favorable.Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom automations, workflows, and consumable integrations
  • Intake automation requests and review internal manual process documentation to design MVP solutions.
  • Work with internal customers to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios while continuously improving network automation practices.
  • Collaborate and brainstorm with peers about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.
  • Perform incremental testing actions on code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered
  • Produce end-user documentation for the automations we build
  • Enable and release low-code automation across Enterprise Networks, AWS, Azure and/or GCP Networking, SDWAN, utilizing REST APIs, Ansible, Terraform, Python, and 3rd party Network Automation Tools.
  • Build, configure, and modify API integrations for different network tools, services, and platforms leveraging Swagger/Open-API documentation or Postman collections.
  • Provide knowledge transfer sessions with peers and suppliers regarding changes in procedures, processes, documentation, and frameworks.
  • Be an active and involved participant in all aspects of the agile process/cycle.
  • Partner with external service providers to provide talent and services to drive high standards
  • Drive innovation through automation of services and capabilitiesQualifications
    • BA/BS required and a degree in STEM field is preferred
    • 4 years of relevant technology experience
    • Demonstrated experience supporting traditional or cloud networks with a worldwide production infrastructure that is highly accessible.
    • Demonstrated experience proving the ability to operate in a collaborative environment, assisting in the execution of projects while generating valuable documentation artifacts.
    • Demonstrated experience using Linux
    • Demonstrated professional experience using Python or Node JS.
    • Expertise with Git SCM and remote repositories like Bitbucket, GitHub, or Gitlab.
    • Demonstrated experience with Ansible, Nornir, or Terraform
    • Ability to consume and develop APIs.
    • Knowledge of network routing and switching (BGP, EIGRP, L2/L3 VPNs, IPSEC) is essential.
    • Strong written and spoken communication skills, as well as previous experience expressing highly conceptual designs to executives, mid-level management, and peer engineers.
    • Up to 10% travel is required.
    • Knowledge of low-code network automation platforms and their use cases.
    • Experience working in and with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban work processes.
    • Familiarity with Jenkins, Atlassian Suite, HashiCorp Vault, and/or Robot Framework
    • Current knowledge and demonstrated understanding of multi-cloud networking solutions
    • Understanding and familiarity with SDWAN, cloud-based orchestration tools, and configuration management solutions.
