of vascular access teams is to use knowledge regarding intended
treatments or interventions and forecast vascular access needs of
an individual patient. This role will be responsible for
facilitating patient needs and assists with Interdisciplinary
provider & physician collaboration. Working with nursing, pharmacy,
CNS, and provider team.Objective: What are the outcomes we are
looking for? and Where are we going to be putting this IV?Goal: To
provide the patient with the safest and best optimal patient access
in conjunction with INS standards and hospital policy. To provide
the patient with the best vascular access.This position is referral
eligible!Nursing skills gained:Ultrasound guided IVsAfter a
successful year off orientation you will then learn piccsUnit
Successes/Designations/ National Recognition:Within one year, need
to set for the VA-BC certification.Unit Culture Highlights:Great
culture. Get to go to all the units at Mh and UH hospitalsNo
weekends or callHolidays are one winter and one summer
pairingQualificationsRequires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor
of Nursing (BSN) preferred.Requires current state of Indiana
license as Registered Nurse.Requires that the RN has graduated from
a nationally accredited nursing program.Requires Basic Life Support
certification through the AHA.Other Advanced Life Support
certifications may be required per unit/department specialty
