  • Job Details
  • Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN's to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30). **Periop/OR RN's, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS**
  • MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
  • First Time Travelers Accepted
  • Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12
  • Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
  • Unit Information: Post abdominal Transplant patients - largest patient population is Kidney transplant. High acuity MS that operates closer to a PCU level of care in terms of tasks and complexity.
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum 2 years experience
    • Skillset Preferences: Level 1 Trauma Experience, Telemetry, and IV Start
    • Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals
    • Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6
