  • This position will care for admitted patients holding in the ED for admission to our inpatient step-down and Med-Surg units.

    • Role: Registered Nurse
    • Specialty: Progressive Care / Step-Down / Critical Care Level 2 / Med-Surg
    • Years of Experience: 2 years +
    • Float Requirements: Must be willing to float within hospital and/or up to 25 miles from facility.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shift: Night Shift 1900-0730
      • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours Bi-weekly
      • Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
      • Holiday rotation throughout the year
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Number of Beds: 8-10 Beds assigned to admitted patients holding in ED for either Step-Down or MS units
        • Patient Ratios: 1:4 - 1:5 Depending on Acuity
        • Equipment provided
        • EMR: Epic
        • There will be 8-10 beds dedicated for this ratio ranging from 1:4 to 1:5
        • Other unit procedures include chest tube placement, IV insertion, blood transfusions, and bedside bronchoscopy.

          • Must Have Skills/Experience: BLS/ACLS, IV Medicated gtts, Tracheostomy experience, Ventilator support
          • Personality fit includes the ability to care for a variety of patients including those with chronic conditions and post-surgical recovery.
