  • Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN's to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30).**Periop/OR RN's, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS**
  • IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a bill rate bump per hour
  • Must be flexible with weekend requirements. Weekend requirement will be based on unit needs. Travelers must be able to work 50% of the weekends in their contract.
  • IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment. Please only submit candidates that are okay with these requirements.
  • Traveler must have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package for their license to apply for this position.
  • Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12
  • Call-Ins: If a traveler calls in for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period, or the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract
  • Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
  • Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals
  • Staffing Ratios: Dayshift from 1:5-6

    • Travelers must be able to work 50% of the weekends in their contract.
    • Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12
    • Call-Ins: Required actions based on contracted FTE and inability to make up shifts within the pay period.
