- Global Diagnostic Scientific Affairs will leverage their deep lab
medicine, pathology, and diagnostic industry knowledge and
scientific acumen to create clear strategic plans for addressing
barriers to diagnostic accuracy and availability across the globe.
In addition, this leader will function as the lab medicine expert
for the enterprise, supporting diagnostic integration into
training, evidence generation planning, and global diagnostic Key
Opinion Leader and conference prioritization. Responsibilities :
Function as the subject matter expert on lab medicine across
enterprise; centralized expertise on pre-analytical, analytical,
and post-analytical lab processes for enterprise. Deliver a global
diagnostic accuracy strategy including, but not limited to,
diagnostic standardization, EQA Involvement, concordance studies,
and early pathology/lab training curricula, where appropriate.
Deliver a global diagnostic availability strategy including, but
not limited to, creating regional diagnostic centers-of-excellence,
and supporting test availability, where appropriate. Organize and
support the centralized process and management for diagnostic
guideline body submissions, (e.g., CAP, ADLM, IFCC) Organize and
deliver input into the companion diagnostic partner selection
process in diagnostic development. Collect and maintain a
cross-business unit view of labs/markets and their adoption of
testing, technology, etc. to inform strategy and companion
diagnostic partner selection. Collect and disseminate insight on
macro trends in diagnostic technology and support decisions on
collaboration partners. Guide business units in pathology and lab
medicine key external expert selection for inclusion in insight
generation. Provide supportive diagnostic training to Lilly teams
to upskill the organization. Ensure best practices are faithfully
cross-pollinated and integrated across business units for
diagnostic-relevant Lilly sponsored studies and collaborative
research. Develop and maintain strong understanding of the clinical
and anatomic pathology laboratory and its applications and
relevance to Lilly portfolio. Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy. Must be board eligible or
certified in appropriate specialty/subspecialty or have completed
the comparable level of post-medical school clinical training
relevant to the country of hiring. Must have completed education
and training at a medical school that meets the requirements of the
Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). For the recognized

pharmaceutical industry experience Additional Skills and
Preferences: 8 years relevant diagnostic medical affairs experience
Deep understanding of lab medicine Outcomes Focus: Demonstrated
both a bias for action and focus on results. Problem Solving:
Demonstrated ability to appropriately diagnose business problems
and create and implement appropriate solutions. Measurement
Orientation: Demonstrated ability and propensity to use data,
measurement and analytics to diagnose problems and to evaluate the
actual effect of changes implemented. Deep curiosity and drive to
solve complex problems and create impactful solutions. Teamwork
orientation, interpersonal astuteness, and able to work within a
matrix. Ability to collaborate and influence across teams and to

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $198,000 -
$336,600 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a
company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual
performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit
