Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job ID: T4H - 914 Position Title: Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown (Float) Location: 2139 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45219 Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital Unit: 6 South – Cardiac Medical Stepdown Start Date: July 15, 2025 Contract Length: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Hours per Week: 36 hours (12-hour shifts) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Floating: Yes – to CVSU, Cardiopulmonary, Heart & Vascular Stepdown, Comprehensive Med Stepdown, Cardiology Tele Stepdown Job Description: This RN position provides specialized cardiac stepdown care, focusing on recovery from vascular and electrophysiology procedures. The unit also treats patients with acute myocardial infarctions (MI), arrhythmias, syncope, cardiomyopathy, and heart failure. Nurses titrate IV cardiac medications and administer conscious sedation for cardioversions. All RNs must be ACLS certified and ECG interpretation proficient. This unit is ideal for nurses seeking a bridge to ICU-level care. Required Experience & Skills: - Minimum 2 years of Stepdown/Telemetry RN experience - Proficient in cardiac drip titration, including: - Amiodarone, Lasix, Cardizem - Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone - Strong ECG rhythm interpretation skills - Comfortable floating to various cardiac stepdown units - Demonstrated ability to provide age-appropriate, culturally competent care Preferred Experience (Not Required): - Post-open heart or vascular surgery care - Cath lab or cardiac recovery experience - Familiarity with VADs (Ventricular Assist Devices) Licensure & Certifications: - Ohio RN license or Compact license – Required - BLS (AHA) – Required - ACLS (AHA) – Required - Diploma in Nursing – Required - BSN – Preferred About Talent4Health A leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
