Care Career is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel - Shift: Night, 4x12-hour (19:00–07:30) - Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12, EOW required - Location: Indiana - Contract: 13 weeks, 48 guaranteed hours/week - Licenses/Certifications Required: - NBRC-RRT - ACLS, BLS - NRP (for L&D as required) - PALS preferred - Education: CoARC accredited program, regionally accredited by CHEA - Experience Required: - 18 months recent NICU or PICU experience - L&D experience required (placement primarily in L&D) - Trauma Level I experience in a children’s hospital within last year preferred - Skills/Competencies: - Ventilator management: Servo I, Servo U, Hamilton G5 - Pediatric critical care: NICU, PICU, Peds floating - Experience with mechanical ventilation, ABG interpretation, aerosol therapy, emergency interventions - Floating within NICU, PICU, Peds, or IU Health North Hospital as needed - Additional Requirements: - Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays - 2 supervisor references required - Modules required pre-start (8–16 hours, partially onsite) - Local IN residents considered local; floating required - Vaccines: Flu required (medical/religious exemptions allowed), COVID-19 not required - First-time travelers accepted - Notes: IU Health restrictions for IN travelers effective 11/30/24 (exemptions for Periop/OR, Allied, Ambulatory RN) Summary: High-acuity NICU/PICU RN travel assignment in Indiana with heavy pediatric and L&D focus, requiring floating across NICU, PICU, and Pediatrics units. Ideal for experienced neonatal/pediatric critical care nurses with ventilator experience and required IN licensure.
