Travel Nursing Job Details - Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) - Location: Indianapolis, IN 46123 (Indiana nursing jobs) - Employment Type: Travel Contract - Unit: LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) – 17 beds - Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) - Hours per Week: 36 - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Start Date: November 19, 2025 - End Date: February 18, 2026 - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2000 - $2050 - Parking: Free onsite parking Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana (required prior to start) - Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience - Certifications: AWHONN Beginner, BLS, FHM, NRP - Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE) - Ability to float within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed - Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during contract - Two supervisor references required - Experience with Cerner charting system preferred - Charge nurse experience preferred Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases - Circulate for C-sections and assist with obstetric procedures such as D&Cs - Conduct newborn assessments and provide lactation support - Administer medications, monitor fetal heart rates, and respond to obstetric emergencies - Educate patients and families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn safety - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV, respiratory, radiology, and social services - Maintain accurate patient documentation using Cerner charting system - Float to other nursing units as required to support patient care needs Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
