Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/24/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 1 year of Level I trauma experience, IN or compact RN license, and flexibility for call and floating. Responsibilities - Work in a large hospital OR suite covering general, plastics, GYN, ENT, trauma, neuro, ortho, GU, colorectal, and robotics cases - Core 3 & 4 OR units with an average daily census of 70-80 cases and 21 operating rooms - Shift schedule is 3x12 hour days from 7:00-19:30 - Six on-call shifts required within a 6-week period - Floating within hospital or to affiliate hospitals is required - Uses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience required or must be willing to learn - Scrubs are provided - Responsible for circulating and assisting in a variety of surgical procedures excluding CV and transplant - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Must be well-rounded in most OR specialties and able to float as needed - All OR RNs must complete required online modules pre-start - Candidates must work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays during the contract - Return candidates must have a 12-month separation if previously a perm or PRN employee - Free parking available on site - Local Indiana candidates accepted for this surgical services role; note local pay adjustment applies Requirements - Active IN or compact RN license in hand prior to start date - Minimum of 3 years OR RN experience, including at least 1 year in a Level I trauma environment - Current BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted) - ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing degree - Circulating experience in the OR is required; scrub experience is preferred - Must provide 2 supervisor references for consideration - No pending licenses accepted; license must be active and valid at submission Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624608.
