Experience with diverse patient populations Description: Position
involves providing physical therapy in an acute care setting. The
role is Monday through Friday, with at least one weekend shift per
month. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of relevant
experience. BLS certification is mandatory. Applicants must have
their in-state license in hand prior to starting. Travelers are
required to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate
facilities. Physical therapists will evaluate patients across all
levels of acuity. Common diagnoses include cardiac procedures,
stroke, traumatic brain injury, and joint replacements. The
therapist is responsible for developing and following a plan of
care. Duties also include gait training, therapeutic exercises, and
patient education. Collaboration with the rehabilitation team is
essential for managing the daily caseload. Documentation of patient
progress is required daily. Supervision and guidance of physical
therapy assistants is part of the role. Maintaining productivity
standards is expected. Therapists will handle a mixed caseload and
