Cardiac Surgery - Cardiovascular Surgery - Physician at

position is for a Physician Assistant specializing in cardiac and
thoracic surgery, focusing on post-operative care of surgery
patients in critical care and step-down units. The role involves
patient assessment, diagnostic testing, treatment management, and
collaboration within a multi-disciplinary cardiac surgery team. The
position includes night shifts and offers comprehensive benefits
within a large, faith-based healthcare network in Indiana. Details
Specialty: Physician Assistant - Cardiac Surgery Subspecialty
Interest: Cardiac & Thoracic & Vascular Surgery Schedule: Nights -
3 on and 6 off - (3) 12-hour shifts - 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
followed by (6) shifts off. Rotated amongst a team of 6 APP's
covering 2 locations with 1 APP assigned to each location for every
7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. shift. Call Schedule: no on-call Practice
Detail: The practice consists of six cardiac surgery surgeons and
twelve APPs. EMR System: Sunrise Facility: Ascension Indianapolis
and Ascension Heart Center Location: Indianapolis and Carmel,

the offer. Responsibilities $20,000 sign-on for providers with 2
years direct Critical Care/Cardiac ICU experience. Ascension
Medical Group is looking for a Physician Assistant for our
Cardiothoracic Surgery Nocturnist APP team. Incoming APP's would be
involved with the post-op management of the Cardiac & Thoracic
surgery patients in both the critical care ICU and step down units.
The APP’s on this team are part of a collaborative team model of
care consisting of advanced providers and physicians who provide
care for post-surgical inpatients. This is a great opportunity for
the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. Vincent to
provide medical services to patients. Position Highlights:
Evaluates and treats cardiac & thoracic surgery patients in the
immediate pre and post-operative setting and serves as the primary
admitting service. Obtains complete histories and performs
pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal
findings. Facilitates the coordination of inpatient and outpatient
care and services. Responsibilities: Obtains patient history and
performs assessment. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic
procedures. Provides and documents direct treatment and management
of health conditions. Provides counseling and education of patients
and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health,
treatment options and community resources. Performs preventative
health assessments, screening, immunizations and care. About

Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or
