Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) for a local contract job in
Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:

hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local
Contract Position: Medical Lab Scientist Speciality: CLIA OR
Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments Duration: 26 weeks of
Contract to FTE Location: Indianapolis, IN Shift Timing: 1st shift.
Mon – Fri. 8am – 5pm EST. Rotating Tues – Sat schedule. OR 2nd
shift. - Mon - Fri. 1pm - 930pm EST. Rotating Tues - Sat schedule.
They will have 1 day weekend and then 3 day weekend. Required skill
•/tMinimum 1 year of CLIA lab experience •/tMinimum 6-months of
pertinent clinical laboratory testing experience is required.
•/tSome instrument experience •/tWe’ll need an individual to have
clinical laboratory testing experience at the level of a Medical
Laboratory Scientist/Technologist within a core laboratory. Job
Description: •/tResponsibilities are interchangeable within job
titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist
or clinical laboratory scientist. •/tWork environment/department
will be listed in requirement. Determine the acceptability of
specimens for testing according to established criteria. •/tPerform
routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to
departmental Standard Operating Procedures. •/tMonitor, operate and
troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
•/tDemonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding
testing and problem solving. •/tPrepare, test, and evaluate new
reagents or controls. Report accurate and timely test results to
deliver quality patient care. •/tPerform and document preventive
maintenance and quality control procedures. •/tIdentify and
replenish testing bench supplies as necessary. •/tAssist with
processing of specimens when needed. Maintain a safe work
environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Experience: •/tBachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical
Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory
(CLIA & State) requirements. •/tMinimum 2-4 years of clinical
laboratory testing experience is required. •/tProficient with
computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a
plus. •/tHigh level of attention detail along with strong
communication and organizational skills. •/tFlexibility to work
overtime or other shifts depending on business needs. Apidel
