Details - Department: Electrophysiology Lab (EP) - Schedule: Monday - Friday7am - 5pm shifts, rotating day off. 1 late shift a week to cover cases going after 5pm. NO nights. NO weekends. NO holidays. NO call shifts. - Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent - Location: Indianapolis, IN Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital is a Quaternary Care, Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma facility. We offer 24/7 emergent treatment for Myocardial Infarction (STEMIs), STROKEs, and Trauma’s. At the Indianapolis campus there are 14 procedural labs. Currently there are 3 cardiac catheterization labs, 4 electrophysiology labs, 5 vascular/body labs. We recently expanded to our new Brain and Spine Hospital which includes the 2 new neuro IR suites. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. - Assess, prepare, and position patients for procedures. Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary. - Prepare, implement, and document plan of care. Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures. - Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures. - Perform set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: - Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
