Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week (8 and 10 hour shifts), 36 hours per week (3 twelve-hour shifts), or 48 hours per week (4 twelve-hour shifts) /n• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 /n• Every other weekend required, with potential consecutive weekends based on operational needs /n• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays /n• 2 years of nursing experience required /n• Level 1 Trauma experience required /n• Charge experience preferred /n• BLS certification required /n• No on-call responsibilities /n• Float within scope to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) at University and Methodist Hospitals - floating is 100% required /n• Care for post-operative patients (Urology, GYN, GI, Orthopedic) and some pre-operative patients /n• Fast-paced unit requiring ability to hit the ground running /n• Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, feeding tube care, port access/management, continuous bladder irrigation, blood product administration, central line blood draws, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, IV management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA, surgical drains, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac /n• Indiana state license required and must be in hand prior to start date /n• University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE /n• 2 supervisor references required /n• Call-in shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract /n• Refusal to float may result in contract termination /n/n Facility: /n This short-term acute care facility operates as a comprehensive medical center with multiple hospital locations featuring varying bed capacities ranging from 153 to 210 staffed beds.
