ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work on Neurosurgical/Neuroscience Med/Surgical/step down unit • Patient ratios: 4-5:1 days, 5:1 nights and weekends • Work every other weekend as per contract (8 weekend shifts per contract) • 24 hours of orientation provided • Minimum 2 years of experience required with IV start skills • MS/Tele and PCU level experience accepted • Required certifications: BCLS, NIH • Must be willing to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) within hospital or affiliate hospitals • Charge coverage responsibilities may be required with training provided • Care for patients ages 15-100 with neuro trauma, MVA, stroke, seizure, brain and spinal cord injuries • 40% of patients come from Neuro Critical Care, 30% discharge to rehab facilities • Perform procedures including catheter care, lines, g-tubes, lumbar punctures, trach care, PCA pumps, wound vacs • Work with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams • Handle 2-3 surgeries per day with focus on early mobility and rehabilitation • Call-ins must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Travel experience preferred but not required • Indiana residents not accepted for this position Facility: This major healthcare facility operates a comprehensive neurosurgical and neuroscience unit providing specialized care for patients with acute neurological conditions and trauma.
