ABOUT THIS POSITION:
Responsible for performing a wide range of administrative and coordination duties that require a degree of independent judgment. The Human Resources Assistant must possess a broad base of computer skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills. This position provides direct support to the local Human Resources Department. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to local Human Resources department
  • Create and issue companywide communication and recognition
  • Assist with coordinating office functions
  • Provide consistent phone coverage and switchboard relief when necessary
  • Coordinate meetings as necessary
  • Manage sensitive information with good judgment and a high degree of confidentiality
  • Maintain accurate employee data
  • Coordinate training for local office including scheduling, monitoring and recording attendance, coordinating materials and room set up, and maintaining training records
  • Trade employee onboarding and maintenance
  • Filter applications and screen candidates
  • Run background checks
  • Send onboarding communication to employee and team
  • Onboard on first day
  • Maintain employee data in HRIS software
  • Track and distribute monthly service awards
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
    • High school diploma required,
    • 3+ years of administrative experience required
    • 1-3 years HR administrative experience preferred
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to effectively manage time, multi-task, and proactively anticipate needs
    • Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Self motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
