If so - this may be the position for you!Our client is a large and well-established faith-based non for profit. They are seeking a full-time HR Benefits Specialist at their office in downtown Indianapolis. The HR Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration of benefits for over 2000 employees and serves as the primary point of contact for health benefits and associated policies and procedures. The Benefits Specialist plays an integral part in ensuring benefit compliance utilizing the HRIS, payroll system, and benefits portals to provide benefits analysis and necessary reconciliations. This position also administrates employee leaves, aligning leaves with FMLA and organizational policy. This role involves a high utilization of HR reporting and analytics to assess accuracy of benefits and other HR processes. Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of health benefits including: Medical, Dental, FSA/ HAS/ HRA, Disability and Life Insurances, Employee Wellness, Leave Administration including FMLA, ACA compliance, New hires/ Qualifying Life Events, Coverage Continuation, Annual Open Enrollment Main point of contact for employees and managers who have questions about health benefits and provides education pertaining to benefits and leave polices, to ensure compliance across organization. Works to ensure alignment of benefit structure with organizational and legal expectations. Manages HRIS system and carrier files, reflecting benefit enrollments & changes and integration within the HRIS system and carrier portals. Conducts regular assessments between HRIS and carrier portals, analyzing data to monitor for and correct discrepancies, ensuring ongoing alignment between systems. Administers employee leave programs according to FMLA and the organization's policy. Ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws including FLSA, FMLA, Workers Compensation, ACA, ADAAA, etc. Assists with preparation and submission of all required filings including EEO-1, Medicare Part D, PCORI, ACA 1094/1095, Medicare RDS, etc. Ensures timely payment of benefit premiums via auditing and reporting processes. Monitors for ACA compliance and benefit eligibility mitigating any issues that occur. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Systematic thinker with a high attention to detail and organization.
