Human Resource Business Partner

Job Description:


OEG is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner who is an employee-champion and culture builder. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and helps design metrics to track results. The HRBP partners across OEG to deliver value-added service to leadership and employees. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

What you'll do: (includes the following: however, other duties may apply)

  • Develop successful strategies and tactics to meet current and future staffing needs
  • Determine appropriate recruiting strategies based on position competencies and requirements
  • Perform targeted candidate searches using active and passive sourcing strategies including: internal talent; employee referrals; LinkedIn; community outreach; networking; job boards, and social media
  • Proactively identifies retention issues, and provides timely and proper solutions
  • Conduct phone screens, assessment interviews and facilitate candidate feedback process
  • Manage functional staffing strategy and metrics with regular analysis and reporting
  • Attend weekly Team meetings and provide progress report
  • Consult with operations management, providing guidance when appropriate
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations including detailed documentation
  • Work closely with operations management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation


    What you bring:

    • Bilingual (English and Spanish speaking) highly preferred
    • BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant work experience preferred
    • 2+ years of HR experience with an emphasis on recruiting
    • Resourceful and creative in recruiting
    • Able to quickly and effectively transition between tasks
    • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
    • Experience working within landscaping or construction is preferred
    • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills
    • Proficient with Paylocity and Google Suite
