technology solutions positions.ResponsibilitiesPrimary
Responsibility:This role is a key member of the Americold HR North
America Leadership team. The Director, Human Resources will provide
HR business partner support. The incumbent will provide day to day
HR leadership including performance management, employee relations,
organizational planning, employee metrics reporting, coaching and
succession planning. He or she will be responsible for creation and
delivery of policies and best practices to support and encourage a
productive workforce that meets both the business goals of the
organization and personal needs of employees.Essential Functions:
Serve as Human Resources leader for Regional HR function; lead HR
team (HR Managers and HR Generalists/Coordinators) Possess broad
knowledge and understanding of the business to assess, recommend,
and drive organizational changes Lead the talent and performance
management process to include quarterly reviews, talent development
planning, manager feedback, coaching and facilitation of
performance management training Responsible for tracking and
reporting HR metrics as they pertain to overall Americold goals
Provide coaching and support to leaders and employees on
performance improvement plans, conflict resolution and career
development Drive continuous improvement of human resource
functions (i.e., staffing & recruiting, budgets, compensation
administration, policy administration, employee relations,
organizational development, change management, etc.) Drive a robust
organizational review/succession planning process Ability to drive
a positive culture through employee communications and activities
Own end to end various HR processes within region team including
onboarding, offboarding etc. Assist with compensation analysis for
professional and hourly employees Partner with the Total Rewards to
develop and deploy compensation, benefits and recognition programs
that will drive a performance culture Demonstrate managerial
courage and provide timely and actionable constructive feedback
across the region teams Resolve issues quickly and directly to
maximize performance. Leads continuous improvement across the HR
team and assist Americold HR team across the business on special
projects and initiatives S/he will have a proven track record of
building and driving successful talent strategies and processes
that clearly support the objectives of the business Must have both
strong strategic capabilities as well as be hands-on and
comfortable with tactical execution Lead and manage investigations
of all types including research and documentation of all legal,
policy, or procedure-related issues; collaborate with Legal as
necessary Provide consultative support and advice to management on
appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Manage
multiple concurrent progressive discipline process with supervisors
and employees Produce and/or review reports requiring analysis and
data compilation utilizing tools available (turnover, trends,
budgeting, compensation, legal requirements, etc.). Ensure
compliance with all federal and state employment laws, including
EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and company policies Facilitate effective
succession planning processes to ensure management and professional
readiness to meet the growth plans of the business Direct and
implement employee engagement and retention
programsQualificationsQualifications & Experience: Bachelors Degree
in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required 10+ years
of experience as an HR professional with increasing levels of
responsibility, including 5+ years of leading broad distributed
teams. Minimum of two (2) years of labor relations experience
including CBA negotiations Proven leadership, coaching,
relationship building and effective conflict resolution skills
Strong business acumen, communication, and presentation skills
Experience with change management Must be proactive in nature with
strong communication skills Interpersonal savvy Ability to motivate
teams to produce desired outcomes within tight timeframes Ability
to work with and connect with all levels of employees Strong
planning & organizing skills Drive for results & follow-up
Demonstrated problem solving skills Demonstrated ability to handle
multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously Experience in supply
chain warehouse, operations or transportation industry preferred
Strong knowledge of employment laws including EEO and Affirmative
