Job Description:

Position: HR GeneralistReports To: Human Resource ManagerWhat you will do:Recruiting & Staffing:

  • Maintain Job Requisitions in ATS (assist hiring managers)
  • Conduct initial phone screening of applicants
  • Conduct background/credit checks for potential new hires
  • Respond to Verification of Employment requestsHRIS/Payroll system:
    • Process New Hires and Terminations
    • Maintain employee data (contact info, jobs, dept assignments, etc)
    • Assist Comp & Benefits Coordinator with maintenance of employee payroll data (earnings, deductions, direct deposits, tax elections, etc)
    • Create reports as requested by HR Manager and/or Executive TeamAssist with General HR matters:
      • Assists in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
      • Assist in development and implementation of company policies
      • Assist HR Manager with special projects
      • Assist HR Manager with Drug Testing ProgramOther Duties As Assigned
        • Order employee Business Cards
        • Maintain Employee Assets inventory
        • Register employees with CCS & DISA, monitor drug test renewalsWhat you get:

            • At least 2 years of HR experience REQUIRED
            • 4-year degree in HR or Business preferred, not required
            • A sincere desire to help people
            • Excellent Organizational Skills
            • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
            • Excellent time management skills
            • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
            • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software
            • Ability to travel in and out of Indiana, including overnight stays
            • Be able to work at a desk for 2+ hours (stand up desks available)
