Job Description:
Summary:As a Senior Software Quality Analyst, you will develop
domain level expertise of the Pearson Access product platform to
effectively create, execute & maintain manual & automated test
plans supporting new & existing features of our product. Working
with your peers you will drive continuous improvement through
significant investment in automated test execution and integration
testing. You will provide guidance to other team members
implementing software quality assurance testing techniques
including, smoke, functional, regression, exploratory and
integration testing in an agile driven team to meet testing
software requirements. The Sr. QA will be responsible of managing
complex projects and work under high levels of responsibility and
autonomy in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative agile SDLC
environment.LOCATION: Remote - USResponsibilities: Strong problem
solving skills Ability to drive an 'automation first' mentality
Work autonomously and with minimal supervision, yet collaboratively
within and across Agile teams Demonstrates good judgment in
implementing methods and techniques for obtaining results. Pay
continuous attention to technical and quality excellence.
Communicate efficiently, effectively, and often with peers, leaders
and those being led. Act as a lead/mentor other Analysts. Identify
process improvements in the existing SDLC, develop a model plan,
and share with the team. Make recommendations for functional
application improvements to BA, Development, and QA. Able to
prioritize tasks according to importance and severity. Adapt to
unexpected changes/process improvements. Develop test strategy
plans and help tune and refine existing testing practices. Document
and summarize tests results and report findings Conduct pre and
post-release testing At times and when needed, able to work during
regular off office hours. Education and Experience: Bachelor's
degree or equivalent industry experience in a related discipline 7+
years in Software Quality Assurance Experience in Requirement
Analysis, Design, and Test Case preparation, Development, Testing,
walk-throughs, and Defect Prevention Analysis Proficiencies with
some of the following: Agile, SCRUM, Six Sigma, or Lean driven SDLC
experience Test Automation API layer testing with Postman, SOAP UI
or equivalent Advanced programming skills including automation
systems and databases Relational database management system
experience Writing SQL queries Code repositories such as Bitbucket
Amazon Web Services As required by theColorado Equal Pay
Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum
compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual
compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but
not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office
location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay
for this role is $70k - 80k. This position is eligible to
participate in an annual incentive program, and information on
