If you answered yes to all of these questions then you may be the person we are looking for.The Skyline Site Reliability Engineering team brings a software engineering perspective to delivering quality operations at scale, driving automation in every aspect of the job. We collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams, as equals, to provide optimal production services to our customers. We believe that Engineering teams should be able to deploy whatever, whenever with confidence, via lightweight processes with minimal barriers.You will be a part of a motivated and talented team of Engineers and work with modern cloud, container and monitoring technologies, solve challenging problems and help build efficient platforms for managing large volumes of data. You will delight customers by providing reliable, performant Skyline services and contribute to shaping the Site Reliability functions for Skyline Product.Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

  • Within the first 30 days, you will
  • Develop automation for optimizing testing cycles, and iteratively create functionality using agile methodology.
  • Work with Skyline SRE, Developers, IT & Production Engineering teams and familiarize yourself with Skyline deployment design and the internal processes for CICD, Monitoring and Incident Management.
  • Within the first 90 days, you will
  • Become competent in setting up CICD pipelines, Monitoring and Alerting, Load testing and support Incident Management
  • Deliver best Product Quality code and function by building automation frameworks, integration and functional tests.
  • Develop customer-centric tests to ensure software quality meets the real-world usage scenarios.
  • Within the first 180 days, you will
  • Lead troubleshooting sessions, participate in Incident Post Mortems, contribute to Infosec & Compliance activities, independently perform Load testing on Skyline Services, design and setup new pipelines and build automation tools.
  • Develop modular software that can be shared across multiple components, both through contribution to common libraries and RESTful services.
  • Within the first 360 days, you will
  • Take ownership of SRE activities - Monitoring, Load Testing, CICD Pipeline build, Capacity planning and Infosec activities for a feature of but not limited to Skyline.
  • Own quality, scalability and stability of created code. Innovate to build new testing strategies for delivering quality software.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
    • Ensure our product meets the quality, availability and performance goals by developing tools, runbooks, automatic remediation and solid failover strategies.
    • Build code and technologies for Enterprise applications around Product Quality (functional, integration) - both Manual and Automation, with UI and API automation tools like Protractor, Postman, Appium, RestAssured etc.
    • Integrate your test suites with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines, developing, automating, and deploying code using GitLab/GitHub, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS or Cloud Foundry.
    • Work across teams to understand test data, functional, and integration testing requirements for ensuring it is available in all relevant environments for delivering the quality product
    • Be responsible for planning the quality development, and execution for the product releases
    • Work with Kubernetes, AWS, Helm charts and Jenkins.
    • Setup, troubleshoot & optimize CICD pipelines to make them reliable, secure and performant.
    • Perform load testing for each release of Skyline
    • Bring in innovative ideas and look for opportunities to improve engineering processes
    • Ensure that production SLAs are defined, measured, monitored and maintained
    • Evaluate, build and modify automation for deploying and operating production services
    • Participate/Lead Post Mortems for incidents
    • Participate in on-call rotation.

You will be expected to live within a reasonable commute of the office.For New York City based candidates the hiring range for this position is typically $140,000 -$252,000. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
